Village Sign is a local exploration challenge that asks you to photograph your bicycle with a visible village, town or city sign. The place name and the bike should both be readable in the proof, creating a compact record of somewhere your ride reached.

Place signs divide one stretch of road from the next, but they also make satisfying chapters in a ride. This quest turns that everyday roadside object into a destination.
Find an official or otherwise clear village, town or city sign during the ride and include your bike in the scene.
Compose the shot so the bicycle is visible and the sign can be recognised as a place sign rather than an unreadable rectangle.
Upload one photograph. If lettering is small, review the image at full size before leaving to confirm the name remains legible.
Do not stop in a traffic lane or unstable verge. Choose a safe legal place to stand and keep clear of the road while photographing.
Use a place sign as a ride marker and show the bicycle and location name together.
