2. Purpose and scope
These terms apply to consumers who buy one-time access to BikeQuest and to every rider who uses the app. The version accepted on the order date governs the purchase, subject to mandatory consumer law.
BikeQuest is a recreational cycling web app. Riders choose quests, ride outside, upload proof photos or activity screenshots, and collect digital badges in their profile. BikeQuest is not a competition, navigation, medical, coaching, or emergency service.
3. Account, eligibility, and order
An email account is required to order and use BikeQuest. The buyer must provide accurate information, keep access to the email account secure, and must not transfer or resell the BikeQuest account.
A minor may use BikeQuest only with the authorisation and supervision of a parent or legal guardian. The rider remains responsible for deciding whether an outdoor activity is appropriate for their age, health, skills, equipment, and local conditions.
Before confirming the order, the buyer must be able to review the essential characteristics of BikeQuest, the total price, these terms, and the applicable withdrawal information. Confirming the payment creates the contract, subject to confirmation by Stripe.
4. Price and payment
Payment is processed securely by Stripe. BikeQuest does not receive or store complete bank card numbers. Any refusal or authentication request is handled by the buyer's payment provider and Stripe.
BikeQuest is sold for a one-time payment. The current price is €19 once: one-time payment. no subscription. There is no subscription or recurring BikeQuest charge. The price shown immediately before payment is the price charged.
5. Delivery of access
Access is associated with the email account used for the order and is normally activated after Stripe confirms payment. If access is not activated despite a successful payment, the buyer should contact alexis.mouville@gmail.com with the account email and, if available, the Stripe reference.
The one-time payment is not a promise that BikeQuest will operate forever. BikeQuest may evolve its catalogue and features while preserving the essential nature of the purchased service and the mandatory rights that apply to digital content and services.
6. Right of withdrawal and refunds
A consumer has 14 calendar days from the conclusion of the contract to withdraw without giving a reason. The withdrawal may be exercised by any unambiguous statement sent to alexis.mouville@gmail.com. The buyer should include the account email, order date, and Stripe reference when available.
BikeQuest currently gives access immediately after payment without collecting an express waiver of the right of withdrawal. The statutory right of withdrawal therefore remains available throughout the 14-day period when it applies.
BikeQuest will refund the sums due no later than 14 days after being informed of the withdrawal, using the original payment method unless the buyer expressly agrees otherwise. Access may be withdrawn after the refund. Mandatory remedies for defective or non-conforming digital content or services remain available independently of withdrawal.

The rider must have the right to upload the content and must not upload illegal content, private information about another person without permission, dangerous riding footage, malicious files, or proof they know is false or misleading.
BikeQuest may use automated analysis and manual review to assess whether a proof matches a quest. An automated or manual decision may be wrong. A rider may request a review by contacting support with the account email and quest concerned. Digital badges have no monetary value and cannot be exchanged for money.

Cycling and outdoor activities involve inherent risks. The rider is solely responsible for the route, physical condition, bicycle and safety equipment, weather, traffic, applicable rules, and the decision to start, continue, or stop a ride.
Do not use your phone while riding. Stop in a safe and lawful place before taking a photo, reading a quest, or uploading proof. A BikeQuest quest is never an instruction to enter private property, break a traffic rule, take an unsafe route, or endanger any person.
9. Acceptable use, suspension, and account closure
The user must not disrupt the service, bypass access controls, attempt to access another account, scrape protected content, misuse another person's identity, or use BikeQuest for unlawful purposes.
BikeQuest may temporarily restrict or suspend an account where reasonably necessary to protect users or the service, investigate fraud or false proofs, respond to a legal obligation, or address a serious breach of these terms. Where appropriate, the user will be informed and may contact support. This does not affect mandatory consumer rights.
A user may request account closure by emailing support. Account closure does not automatically erase records that must be kept for legal, tax, accounting, dispute, or fraud-prevention purposes.
